Romain Paillot

Romain-Pallot biogRomain Paillot, DipEPHE, PhD, HDR, began his research career in 1995 in the field of transplantation immunology. In 1998, he moved to a veterinary vaccine manufacturer to develop new immunological assays in several species.
Romain moved to the AHT in 2004 to start a PhD on cell-mediated immunity induced by equine influenza virus and equine herpesvirus 1. From 2007 to 2012, his work focused on immunity and protection induced by several modern equine vaccines.
Several superantigens produced by Streptococcus equi and S zooepidemicus were identified and investigated. Romain is head of immunology at the AHT and runs a research group. In 2016, he was awarded a French habilitation to direct research from l’université de Caen Normandie.
