PetSavers, which funds vital research into small animal diseases, has held the annual photography competition for five years.

Mr Timothy said: “It is really important research for both human and animal disease is in place; PetSavers does that for our furry friends. Let’s support it in any way we can.”

There are no limits on what can be submitted – the judges are looking for an image that captures the personality of your pet.

The competition is free to enter, and closes on 31 January. There are two categories: adult and junior (16 and under) and prizes will be awarded to first, second and third in each category.
