The webinars will be hosted by senior oncology specialists Iain Grant and Mary Marrington, who have been appointed to run the veterinary referral specialist’s new service.

At 8pm on Thursday 30 June, Dr Grant will host the first free webinar with a topic entitled “The what, where, how approach to the cancer patient”.

Then, at 8pm on Thursday 28 July, Mrs Marrington will give some clarity on how best to manage mast cell tumours.

Essential skills

Dr Grant, a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and a RCVS specialist in medical oncology said: “Both Mary and I hope these webinars will greatly benefit vets and their patients who are dealing with cancer.

“The first webinar is going to cover the importance of evaluating the patient, the diagnosis of tumour type and extent, and determining a thorough approach to treatment.

“Managing and treating cancer in pets can be so difficult, but this webinar should help vets gain essential skills for the management of any tumour.”
