Boehringer Ingelheim is hosting a three-part webinar series focusing on feline chronic kidney disease (CKD).

The series explores feline CKD, covering testing, diagnosis and management.

The online seminars, which each count as 20 to 30 minutes of CPD, will cover the early detection and diagnosis of CKD and the impact this can have on progression of the disease, together with hints and tips on the balanced approach to managing progression of the condition.

The webinars are presented by leading experts and can be viewed on the Boehringer Academy website.

Dates and times

Details of the series are as follows:

  • Tuesday 20 June at 7:30pm – head of internal medicine at IDEXX Laboratories Susan Randell will discuss the role of the company’s symmetric dimethylarginine (SDMA) test in early diagnosis.
  • Tuesday 4 July at 7:30pm – recognised specialist in feline medicine Sarah Caney will help delegates understand the importance of early diagnosis in cases of CKD and the impact this can have on progression of the disease.
  • Tuesday 18 July at 7:30pm – Dr Caney will return to discuss the balanced approach to managing the progression of feline CKD.

Competition

Vet professionals who watch all three webinars before 15 August will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win a trip for two people to Phuket in Thailand for the International Society of Feline Medicine autumn feline congress in November.
