A CPD webinar series on firework fears and sound sensitivities designed to help vet professionals advise clients over the firework period has been scheduled.

Some pets can become terrified by the sight and noise of fireworks

Hosted by Ceva Animal Health and presented by leading veterinary behaviourist Sarah Heath, the first online seminars, entitled “Fireworks season: minimising stress for canine patients” will take place on Thursday, September 24 and Thursday, October 8.

They will cover short-term management of firework fears and sound sensitivities, while the second round of webinars on Thursday, October 22 and Wednesday, October 28 will cover “The fireworks fallout: long-term management of firework fears” and will focus on desensitisation and counter-conditioning.

Each webinar will start at 7.30pm and last for approximately one hour, followed by a live question and answer session with Sarah Heath. CPD certificates are available after answering questions relating to each webinar.

To register your interest, email customerservicesuk@ceva.com and Ceva will send you a form to complete and return to register for this free CPD.
