The Veterinary Practice Management Association (VPMA) has once again joined the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) in calling for nominations for managers and nurses to the Petplan Veterinary Awards, taking place in April, 2015.

Nomination deadline for Petplan awards is January 16.

Following their appeal last year, nominations rose for both nurses and managers and the association presidents were keen to build on that momentum.

In a reciprocal arrangement, BVNA is calling on its members to nominate practice managers, and VPMA is calling for nurse nominations.

VPMA president Helen Sanderson emphasised just how simple it was to nominate someone. She said: “You don’t need to produce a long, detailed testimonial, although obviously the more information you can give to support your nomination, the more the judges have to go on.

“But a heart-felt simple paragraph or two entered online is absolutely fine, outlining why your nurse deserves the award. If you’ve 10 minutes to spare, this is a fantastic way to boost your staff morale and just say thanks for their efforts.”

All nominations are anonymous and can be done online by visiting the Petplan awards website.
The deadline for nominations is January 16, 2015.
