Red Eye Flyer
The Red Eye: Practical Tips on Diagnosis and Treatment – 14 June 2016.

Vets will learn how to diagnose and treat causes of red eye at a free ophthalmology CPD event in County Durham on 14 June.

Veterinary Vision director and referral veterinary ophthalmologist Chris Dixon will be discussing the condition and offering tips and advice that can be used in practice.

Contributing factors

There are various factors which may contribute to red eye, such as inflammation of the eyelid, cornea, sclera, conjunctiva, ciliary body and iris.

Other causes include glaucoma, orbital disease, haemorrhage at the front of the eye and haemorrhage within the eye from newly formed or existing blood vessels.

The event, hosted by Veterinary Vision in association with Bayer, will take place at the Ramside Hall Hotel in Carrville. The evening starts at 7:30pm with a hot buffet and the CPD begins at 8pm.
