Veterinary marketeers wishing to showcase their work at the annual Veterinary Marketing Association (VMA) Awards have three new categories to select from for the 2014 judging, the organisers have announced.

VMA awards, March 2013.

The awards, which take place in March 2015, will better reflect the wide range of marketing activity within the industry, says event organiser and VMA vice chairman, Claire Edmunds.

The first of the new awards is the SME Marketing Campaign Award for companies with a UK turnover under £12.5m.

Claire explained: “We have taken the existing award and split the category into two, thereby creating a specific category for companies with a turnover of less than £12.5m, with a second category for companies with a turnover of more than £12.5m.

“We believe that this will make the judging process more straightforward and fair. Campaigns within each category will be more comparative in terms of available budgets and campaign objectives.”

The other two new awards are:

  • Veterinary Nursing Media Advertising Award
  • SQP Media Advertising Award

Claire said: “These two new categories will enable companies with targeted campaigns in these mediums to have their work judged separately to those in the wider veterinary advertising media.

“This year will see 15 awards spanning all aspects of veterinary marketing, and both the awards entries and the event itself are open to everyone, members and non-members.”

The event takes place on March 13, 2015. Tickets are on sale and are entries are now open for any work executed during 2014.
