The Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) sent veterinary supplies to the value of £420,000 to its associated charities last year.
Supplies were sent around the world after a bumper fund-raising campaign, helped by a collection of veterinary textbook sales at BSAVA Congress.
WVS provides veterinary resources to more than 600 animal welfare charities and sanctuaries and attends congress to collect textbooks every year.
WVS managing director James Florence said: “The response from delegates at the BSAVA congress has been fantastic.
“Through running the book collection point, we have received hundreds of books that will be invaluable to the vets working at the animal welfare charities we support across the globe.”
