Emmerdale actress Michelle Hardwick attended a charity dog walk on 18 October organised by a Leeds-based veterinary practice.
The successful event, which raised £1,000 for charity Dogs for Good, was hosted by Abbey House Veterinary Hospital in Leeds.
Michelle, who plays Vanessa Woodfield in the soap, attended the event at RSPB Fairburn Ings, with her two cockerpoos.
Abbey House’s veterinary surgeon and partner Lisa Davies said the event, which featured a raffle, had a fantastic turnout.
“We are so grateful to everyone who took part and generously donated,” she said.
“We all know how much animals can benefit people’s lives, but to hear about what assistance dogs can do and understand how they can transform people’s lives is extremely moving.”
Dogs for Good, formerly know as Dogs for the Disabled, has developed services to help children with autism via assistance and pet dogs.
The charity must raise £12,000 to fund each dog from birth to the time it is a fully trained assistance dog and nearly £20,000 to fund the dog for its working life.
