The world’s foremost chimpanzee expert is to deliver the closing keynote speech at The VET Festival, a dynamic new CPD conference for veterinary professionals taking place on September 5-6.

Jane Goodall DBE will talk about her work as a British ethologist, conservationist and UN Messenger of Peace and the importance of preserving habitats, species and biodiversity to the continuance of mankind.
Dr Goodall joins a line-up of 20 world-class veterinary experts from the UK, USA and Australia, who are coming together to provide veterinary professionals in companion animal practice with cutting edge education and practical clinical advice designed to aid everyday decision making.
Developed by Noel Fitzpatrick, in association with the University of Surrey – where the event is to be held – the VET (Veterinary Education for Tomorrow) Festival aims to focus on the current and future challenges facing those working in the veterinary industry.
The event will offer three themed lecture strands for vets, covering four themes:
- soft tissue surgery
Meanwhile, a dedicated nursing stream will cover topics as diverse as:
- spinal nursing
- pain management
- nutritional advice
