Results of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) CouncilElections have been announced. Voting closed at 5pm on May 1.
The six successful candidates comprise existing members Jill Nute (2,467 votes), Peter Jinman (2,346), Jeremy Davies (2,229) and Bradley Viner (2,123), with the addition of new candidates John Gray (2,230) and Christopher Tufnell (2,088).
RCVS VN Council
The two successful candidates are existing member Andrea Jeffery (604 votes) and new candidate Louise Glysen (332).
According to the college, voter turnout for both elections demonstrate an improvement on last year’s figures, with 4,041 votes for RCVS Council (representing 18.2 per cent of registered members) and 912 for RCVS VN Council (11.2 per cent), up by nearly 25 per cent on last year.
Results of both elections will be formally announced at the Annual General Meeting of the RCVS which will be held on RCVS Day (July 3) at One Great George Street, Westminster.
