International Cat Care has reached an agreement with the Pets at Home group for all its practices to become members of the charity’s veterinary division, the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).

There are 308 practices in the group, operating as either Vets4Pets or Companion Care, and the agreement covers all the existing operations, as well as any future practices opened.

The group’s long-term aim is to have more than 700 practices in both Pets at Home stores and stand alone locations.

Its head of clinical services Huw Stacey said: “We are very proud of our decision to make every vet group practice a member of ISFM, as the rapid growth of interest in feline medicine, both within the profession and with cat owners themselves, is remarkable.

“ISFM membership offers us easy access to a huge amount of readily available information for our practice colleagues and for us to show to our clients.

“In addition, we have agreed ISFM will produce a series of bespoke feline CPD events for our group, which will help colleagues to offer the highest level of informed feline information to our clients.”
