Leading animal health product manufacturer Animax Ltd has announced the appointment of company vet and research and development scientist Elizabeth Berry.
According to the company, Dr Berry will use her experience and expertise to deliver technical support to the company’s sales team and customers. She will also establish and run clinical trials involving existing and new Animax products.
The role will be partly based at the company’s headquarters in Suffolk.
Dr Berry said she was delighted to have joined a company with a clear strategic view for the future of the industry. She added: “I am looking forward to running trials and the new opportunities this will involve.”
Dr Berry is a director of British Cattle Veterinary Association who has published research articles in peer reviewed journals and presented work internationally.
Having qualified at Liverpool University in 1986, Dr Berry enjoyed a varied career, which included five years in mixed practice and time at the Milk Marketing Board (now Genus), providing technical support and running a mastitis consultancy field service.
In 1998, Dr Berry embarked on a PhD in bovine mastitis at the Institute for Animal Health (IAH), Compton, which included registration work for the internal teat sealant OrbeSeal. After gaining her PhD, she remained at the IAH and was involved in running a wide variety of trials for commercial companies. During this period, she also worked for VLA Langford.
