Animal health company Virbac has appointed a new business director for its large animal unit.
Dr Manlove – who took up his position on January 5 – has held a variety of commercial and strategic roles in life sciences since 1982. Making the move into animal health in 2001, he most recently worked as an independent consultant while pursuing a master’s programme at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL). While at CISL, Dr Manlove focused on sustainable food production and consumption, including sustainability in the dairy sector, and began working with Virbac on a consultancy basis during 2014.
“I’m looking forward to becoming part of Virbac with its friendly, professional culture and dedication to animal health,” he said. “I’m particularly looking forward to pursuing new product and service opportunities to meet customer needs, create value and develop the large animal business.”
Mr Ellerton said: “Rick joins Virbac during a period of rapid growth and brings a wealth of strategic insight and experience across global markets. He will be a huge asset as we continue to extend our presence in the large animal sector and we are delighted to welcome him.”
