Animal product specialist MDC Exports is to employ the star status of well-known vet Pete Wedderburn when it turns up at London Vet Show (LVS) in November.

The new Smart Oxygen from MDC Exports.

The company – which provides practical, humane and ethical animal management solutions for vets, vet nurses and animal professionals working in practice or rescue – is to showcase its Smart Collar range. The range, it says, “minimises stress while maximising rehabilitation”.

Making its debut at the show is MDC’s Smart Oxygen product, which MDC calls a “simple, instant and economical way” to provide oxygen or nebulising therapy to cats and other small animals.

Used with one of MDC’s cat baskets, and placed directly into the basket’s transparent canopy, the interior, says MDC, remains airtight for initial oxygenation. The clear plastic, meanwhile, allows the patient to be in full view, allowing observation of respiratory patterns during treatment, and venting enables the release of excess oxygen, which can be altered depending on the patients’ condition and oxygen percentage requirements.

Mr Wedderburn said: “I’m really looking forward to visiting the MDC stand. Over the years I’ve used products from the company that all provide invaluable solutions in-practice. The Smart and SoftE collars exemplify this, as does MDC’s latest addition, Smart Oxygen.”

A limited number of free goody bags will be up for grabs on MDC’s stand (C32) at LVS, and will include the Smart and SoftE Collars, as well as the company’s Tick and Flea Comb and Dietary Alert Collar for cats.
