The Veterinary Practice Management Association (VPMA) has outlined its 2015 business plan, which will see it focusing on its core remit as well as building its relationships with other groups.
As well as the traditional CPD offering, these meetings will incorporate a discussion session with updates on current and future issues.
Because some members are unable to attend the regional meetings, lunchtime management updates delivered via webinar will also be held.
Outgoing president Helen Sanderson outlined the benefits for busy practice managers.
“We wanted to find a way of giving our members easy-to-access updates on current hot topics, without the need for them to spend precious time searching for relevant information,” she said.
“The lunchtime webinars have been designed to be easily digestible, very specific, bite-sized updates, with the facility for our members to pose questions to the presenter and share their own thoughts.”
Each webinar will last 30 minutes with a 10-minute question and answer session afterwards.
The first webinar will be on December 9, when NOAH technical executive Donal Murphy will speak on European threats and impacts on UK medicines legislation.
Members will be sent details and joining instructions in advance of each talk. Non-members are welcome at the regional meetings. To find out more, go to www.vpma.co.uk
