Despite a fantastic response to its surveys on the use and understanding of antibiotics, Bayer wants to encourage as many vets and veterinary students as possible to participate before they close on March 24.
According to the company, understanding the concerns of vets and vet students in responsibly prescribing antibiotics is essential when looking at the issue of antibiotic resistance and the implications for the future of animal health.
With this in mind, Bayer Animal Health has been hosting two online surveys – targeted at small animal vets and veterinary students – to gain an insight into the use and understanding of antibiotics both in practice and during training. The data collected will be used to aid the development of a complete veterinary antibiotics educational/reference resource.
However, the more feedback received from vets and veterinary students, the better the resource will be.
If you haven’t already taken part, make sure you take this opportunity to help shape learning and reference resources that address the specific challenges you face when choosing and using antibiotics – and If that’s not enough of an incentive, all participants will be entered into a prize draw to win an iPad mini.
Both surveys will be live until March 24, 2014 – giving vets and students less than a week to help by giving their opinion and be in with a chance of winning.
