An online programme focusing on lasers is now available for clinicians and aesthetic practitioners in practice.
Policy makers argue it is vital all staff engaged in cosmetic or aesthetic treatments receive the best possible training.
Now eIntegrity has launched a dedicated eLaser e-learning programme that provides core knowledge training, as recommended by the Medical and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, in the safe use of lasers and other forms of optical radiation.
Developed in the UK by The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), in partnership with e-Learning for Healthcare – part of Health Education England – eLaser provides eight separate lessons, each 30 to 40 minutes long, covering all aspects of the safe use of lasers.
The programme structure encourages learners to plan and record their learning, and reflect on their clinical practice and techniques, with lessons including images, videos and animations to create an engaging learning experience that fosters deeper learning and understanding.
An assessment programme at the end of the course tests that the relevant knowledge has been acquired and a “pass” standard achieved, with all users successfully completing the course and assessment awarded a BAPRAS-endorsed certificate.
The programme costs £100 (excluding VAT) with each user gaining access to e-learning for 12 months.
