Royal Canin has launched a special promotion to bring some festive cheer to small animal practices.

The hamper includes tea, coffee, cake and biscuits among a host of other treats.

The pet food manufacturer says it has luxurious seasonal hampers packed with Christmas treats up for grabs, with the offer open to all practices spending a minimum of £600 on a mixture of any Royal Canin clinical and life stage diets.

According to the company, the campaign is aiming to reward practices for their loyal custom over the past year. Treats on offer in the hampers include fruit cakes, mince pies, tea, coffee and chocolate. In addition, the company is also giving all participating vet practices 100 stickers to place on pet food bags for their clients to have the chance to win a family trip to New York.

Veterinary marketing manager Marianne Lomberg said: “In the past year, we’ve launched a wide array of new diets, including our new renal and satiety ranges. This promotion is all about creating a feel good factor, thanking those practices who have supported us during the course of 2014 and rewarding their clients.”

The campaign is due to run until December 31. It also includes the opportunity for practices to win a best display competition, with the winner receiving cinema tickets for all practice staff and a guest of their choice. Clients will also be able to vote for their rescue dog of the year, helping the winning rescue centre to receive enough food to feed 50 dogs for a month.
