Active listening and employee motivation will be among the topics covered at the Veterinary Practice Management Association (VPMA) north-east regional meeting in September.
Titled “Communication Skills”, the event will be held at The Veterinary Hospital in Bradbury, County Durham, from 12:30pm to 3:30pm on September 30.
Alasdair Ross of We do HR will be returning to the group to deliver the session, which will focus on a number of areas, including:
- What does communication look like?
- Active listening
- Types of communication and what to use when
- Employee motivation and how to generate it
- Recognising different communication styles
Mr Ross has spoken at previous VPMA events where he has provided insights for delegates by drawing on his experiences in the corporate operations and human resources sectors.
Tickets for the meeting, which include refreshments, cost £30 for VPMA members and £48 for non-members.
