Spring Corner Veterinary Centre in Bournemouth donated £250 to Chanelle pharmaceuticals rep Matthew Oaks, who took part in a bike ride from John O’Groats to Lands’ End in aid of Breast Cancer Care.

Challenge not (yet) accepted

Practice manager Shannon Tennyson-Smith said: “We promised to double our donation if another veterinary surgery matched our £250 donation, but, so far, no one has.

“The fund-raising is still going on and maybe, with a bit of publicity, we could raise another £500 for this worthy cause.”

Mr Oaks undertook the 600-mile cycle ride with his uncle after his mother was given the all-clear from breast cancer. His target is to raise £2,500.
