The British Cattle Veterinary Association (BCVA) is inviting submissions for its 2014 congress, which is to take place at the Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire on October 16-18.
Continuing its 2013 theme of “Progress in Practice”, the association is looking for submissions for:
- 30-minute lectures;
- 90-minute workshops;
- postgraduate research;
- clinical/practitioner research; and
- poster presentations.
Deadlines for lectures and workshops is February 28, for posters, May 28 and research, April 28.
According to the BCVA, any submissions “should be suitable for publication as a summary or abstract in [BCVA publication] Cattle Practice“. Everything submitted will be reviewed by the congress’ scientific committee and the outcome communicated to the main presenter, with feedback available on request.
Submissions where research is still ongoing or awaiting review, meanwhile, should be presented as complete as possible with comment, if appropriate, about expected timescales. There will be opportunity after the closure of submissions for an updated submission to be presented for review prior to inclusion in the printed version of the congress Cattle Practice, said BCVA.
Submissions for all types of presentations should be sent to the BCVA office using the submission form. A separate form should be used for each submission, said BCVA.
