Course summary

Cancer is the most common cause of death in older companion animals and due to recent advances in veterinary oncology, increased owner awareness and the readiness of veterinary practitioners to treat cancer patients, greater numbers of pets with cancer are being managed long-term. With numerous treatment options available aimed at offering pets optimum quality of life, the goal for the oncology team is maintenance of a lifestyle that is as close to normality as possible.  This full day of oncology nursing will offer theoretical and practical insight into all aspects of caring for cancer patients, including diagnostics, treatment plans and nurse clinics.
