Advanced Imaging – making sense of Pixels & Voxels
Ellesmere Road, Albrighton
Speaker: Paul Mahoney
Fees: BSAVA Member £246.00
Non Member £369.00
This course will be of interest to those who have attended the earlier Module 1 & Module 2 courses in this series, but will also appeal to the more experienced veterinary surgeon in general practice who is comfortable with their in-house radiology and/or ultrasound skills, and would like to know what the world of advanced cross-sectional imaging can offer their patients.
The day will start with a brief overview of CT and MRI: how they work, what they can be used for, their limitations and their benefits to your patients. In a relaxed and informal setting, the delegates will then be guided through a series of problem imaging cases, be challenged on how they would approach these patients in their own practice setting, and then be shown how advanced imaging can help make the decision-making more certain.
This course aims to give delegates an appreciation of what MRI & CT can offer their difficult imaging cases, and be able to better plan an imaging approach from the outset for these problem patients.
