Jack Reece

Jack Reece BVSc, BSc, FRCVS, qualified from the University of Liverpool in 1994 and spent four years in rural practice in north Devon before taking up a six‑month voluntary position at Help in Suffering in Jaipur, India, where he has been since, apart from brief spells as a locum in the UK and Hong Kong, and as a temporary veterinary inspector during the foot-and-mouth outbreak, serving in Galashiels.
Jack’s main responsibilities in Jaipur are for a street dog and rabies control programme, and for the associated research programme, but he is also involved in many aspects of the charity’s veterinary work with equids, camels and rescued animals, and increasingly with management and fund‑raising for the charity.
He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College in 2017 for meritorious contribution to the profession.
