BPEX is inviting vets and other interested parties to take part in its informal online workshop on the changes to Zoonoses National Control Plan for salmonella in pigs (ZNCP) on August 23, 2012.

Online workshopFollowing the suspension of meat juice testing for salmonella antibodies in July 2012, the ZNCP is now centred on the new online risk assessment tool, which aims to help vets and pig producers develop a meaningful and effective salmonella control plan a requirement of Red Tractor Assurance.

BPEX veterinary programme manager Katrin Turvey will lead a live demonstration of the risk assessment tool, and a question and answer session

Vets are encouraged to bring along their queries, and clients who vets believe may be interested are also welcome to join in.

Vets can join in online from any computer, but must register at www.bpex.org.uk/news/events/webinars

The workshop  which will run from 3-4pm on August 23, 2012 – will also be available online to view and listen again afterwards. Further workshops for producers are likely to run in due course.
