Veterinary Thermal Imaging (VTI) has announced the appointment of registered VN Anna Schumann as the company’s new thermographer for the county of Surrey.
Anna is a registered veterinary nurse who has been involved with the veterinary profession for the past 20 years in a variety of different roles, most recently in critical care at a specialist referral hospital.
Becoming a VTI thermographer allows Anna to combine her experience and knowledge in both clinical cases and business with state-of-the-art technology, which can be used as a diagnostic tool and for a number of other applications.
“I’m really pleased to be part of the VTI team,” says Anna. “Due to my background as a veterinary nurse, and my experience with small animals, I plan to concentrate on canine imaging and investigate the applications within the small animal veterinary sector, particularly clinically and for working dogs.
“I also have a passion for wildlife, fuelled by period of conservation work in Africa, and I would love to be able to take thermal imaging in to the wildlife sector. I am also fully trained and very happy to carry out equine thermography.”
“We are thrilled to have Anna join the team,” said Helen Morrell, managing director of VTI. “Anna comes from veterinary background and this, combined with the in-depth training that she’s received to become a VTI thermographer, means that she’s incredibly well equipped to provide an exceptional service for all species of animal in the Surrey area.”
