Hardwork and lots of fun were had during this year’s veterinary nursing week. Amongthe top ideas was one from Eastcott Veterinary Hospital in Swindon who includeda prize to win a day working at the vets for a budding veterinary nurse.
The Grove Veterinary Group in Norfolk took part in a charity sky dive and Brook House Vet Hospital in Southampton organised a sponsored “Doggy Paddle”.
There was also an overwhelming number of entries to the National Veterinary Nursing Week Competition with BVNA delighted to see so many more nurses getting involved.
This year’s competition was for “The Best Waiting Room Display” and the winning entries were:
First prize – two days at BVNA Congress including overnight accommodation and dinner dance tickets for four nurses went to the RSPCA Animal Hospital in Birmingham
Second prize – £250 shopping vouchers went to Vets and Pets in Wakefield
Third prize – £50 Thorntons Hamper went to Gower Veterinary Surgery in Swansea.
