VNs and vets have just over four weeks to nominate their star friends and colleagues for the RCVS’ annual VN council Golden Jubilee award.
The award, now in its third year, celebrates an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the veterinary nursing profession, and nurses, vets and lay people can be nominated.
It was launched in 2011 to celebrate the first 50 years of veterinary nurse training, and so far the winners have been nursing stalwarts Jean Turner and Sue Badger.
According to VN council chairman Kathy Kissick: “We are looking for those who have helped shape the VN profession.
“This award recognises those who have really made a difference and who can truly be described as exceptional.”
The prizewinner will be decided at the May meeting of VN council, due to take place on May 7, 2013, and people have until May 1, 2013, to send in their nominations.
Nominations must be supported with evidence of the nominee’s work and forms can be downloaded from the RCVS website.
