Companion animal vet Stephen Lindop opens the 88th Vets4Pets practice in greater Manchester with a gala open day featuring live music, fund-raising for local animal charities, fun activities and a tour of the premises.
Vets4Pets has opened its Denton branch to the public for the first time.
The greater Manchester branch – which brings the chain’s total number to 88 – was opened on Saturday (February 16, 2013) by new partner, owner and local vet Stephen Lindop. The public were invited to a gala open day, with live music, fund-raising for local animal charities, fun activities and a tour.
Mr Lindop – who is from Hyde, Cheshire – has more than 25 years experience in companion animal practice. He has taken on the new practice – the premises of which he used to pass on the way to school – to achieve the next step in his career.
“For me it has very much been the right opportunity at the right time,” said Mr Lindop. “I already feel a different person from when I started the journey five months ago as I have grown in confidence and things that were way out of my comfort zone now come easily. I cannot speak highly enough of the friendliness and professionalism of everyone I have met along the way.”
Vets4Pets partner relations manager Malcolm Norman said: “We look forward to welcoming Stephen and his new team to the Vets4Pets family. We’re very excited for him as he has put everything into getting his practice open with a flying start.”
According to Mr Lindop, the practice is set for success as it has already registered almost 100 new clients.
“I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to progress to operating my own practice knowing that the facilities, staff training and business support are all to the highest standards,” he said. “I just want to get into the practice to start to enjoy it.”
