Vets4Pets and Companion Care recently celebrated the opening of the group’s 250th practice.
On February 21, Vets4Pets in Stoke-on-Trent opened its doors for the first time.
The new surgery is owned and managed by vet and nurse joint venture partners Catherine Roach and Craig Colbert, and sits within one of the longest standing Pets At Home outlets, which originally opened in November 1996.
The merger of Vets4Pets and Companion Care in 2013 created the largest branded veterinary group in the UK.
Sally Hobson, CEO of Vets4Pets and Companion Care, said: “This milestone adds to an already amazing timeline that shows perfectly how the business has evolved and developed over the years.
“A big thank you to all our colleagues and our joint venture partners and their teams, without whom we would not have been able to achieve this fantastic milestone. Both the practice and the store look great and I wish Cat, Craig and the store team all the best.”
The new practice opening ties in with the £295,000 revamp of the store that created eight new jobs, bringing the total number of employees to more than 18.
Catherine Roach said: “I am looking forward to running my own practice with Craig and providing excellent care to pets in the community.
“For anyone thinking about starting their own practice I would strongly recommend talking to Vets4Pets first. The support you get is great.”
