A vet has put out an SOS through Veterinary Times to find supplies of a drug to help an ailing patient.

Trocoxil 20mgIn an email, Chris Carter, of Christopher Carter Veterinary Surgeons in Shirley, Southampton, said: “Through the courtesy of your columns, can we please ask colleagues if they have any Trocoxil 20mg or 30mg in their pharmacies that they may be able to supply for one of our clients?

“This dog had immune mediated poly arthropathy, but is intolerant to all other NSAIDs we have tried, so we are getting desperate.

“If there are any supplies out there, we will obviously email a prescription to allow dispensary.”
