Animal Health company launches scheme to recognise the hard work of VNs, in conjunction with promoting its canine joint supplement.
A leading animal health company has launched a scheme to recognise the hard work of VNs, in conjunction with promoting its canine joint supplement.
Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica will launch its “Nominate a Nurse” scheme at the British Veterinary Nursing Association congress on October 11.
The campaign will enable nurses, vets, practice colleagues and clients the chance to put forward the names and exploits of nurses that go above and beyond the call of duty in practice, by nominating that nurse via the company’s Seraquin supplement Facebook page.
Rob Lucy, brand manager for Seraquin said: “Vet nurses provide the support and care that often holds a veterinary practice together, they work hard purely for their love of animals and we wanted to recognise that devotion.”
The scheme will not have an overall winner, but nominated nurses that prove popular on Facebook will receive spot prizes including flowers and gift vouchers. Every nominated nurse will receive a certificate of recognition to display in practice.
Urging veterinary professionals to get involved, Mr Lucy added: “Vets, owners and practice staff should use the ‘Nominate Your Nurse’ scheme to help promote great examples of veterinary nursing to the public and the wider veterinary community.”
