The veterinary world’s finest gathered last night at the Burlington hotel in Birmingham to celebrate the best of the profession at the 10th annual Petplan Veterinary Awards.
The awards, created to recognise and applaud staff and practices that have delivered an exceptional level of care to the nation’s pets and their owners, saw a record amount of nominations this year (more than 2,500), making the task of judging even harder than usual.
This year’s event hosted by comedian Jason Manford (Team captain on Channel 4’s comedy quiz 8 Out of 10 Cats ) and opened by Simon Wheeler, Petplan’s head of marketing, who said: “The Petplan Veterinary Awards give us the opportunity to thank the veterinary profession for the outstanding level of care they provide to our animals.”
