Outstanding contributions to the veterinary profession were recognised at the BSAVA Awards in Birmingham yesterday (April 4).
The awards were held at the International Conference Centre against the backdrop of this year’s BSAVA Congress.
Amoroso Award for outstanding contributions to small animal studies by a non-clinical member of university staff: Dr Sheelagh Lloyd.
Melton Award for meritorious contributions to small animal veterinary practice: Ian Battersby.
Simon Award for outstanding contributions in the field of veterinary surgery by BSAVA member: Geoff Skerritt.
Woodrow Award for outstanding contributions in the field of small animal veterinary medicine: Andrea Harvey.
JA Wright Memorial Award for outstanding contributions to the welfare of companion animals: Maggie Roberts.
Petsavers Award to the author of best clinical research paper in Journal of Small Animal Practice: Christopher Warren-Smith.
Dunkin Award to the author of the most valuable article published in Journal of Small Animal Practice: Frederic Goulle.
Blaine Award for outstanding contributions to the advancement of small animal veterinary surgery : Alexander Campbell.
Bourgelat Award for international recognition of really outstanding contributions to the field of small animal practice: Kenneth Simpson.
Frank Beattie Travel Scholarship: Sarah Mason.
