Three lucky vets and a veterinary nurse scooped the top prizes after entering Royal Canin’s popular “Tornado Tunnel” competition at BSAVA Congress 2014, which took place in Birmingham from April 3-6.
Vet Charlotte Boardman from Harbour Veterinary Group in Portsmouth won a Kindle Fire, Kim Chong from the University of Bristol’s Langford Veterinary Service won an iPad Mini, Sophie Spence from the University of Glasgow won a weekend away for two, while veterinary nurse Mandy Bow from Rushden Vets in Northamptonshire scooped a pet-friendly Dyson Animal vacuum cleaner after visiting the pet food manufacturer’s stand.
The prizes were just some of the 3,000 up for grabs to help Royal Canin promote its two new approaches to weight management in cats and dogs:
- Vet Follow Up – an online weight management tool that allows practices and owners to keep track of dogs and cats as they lose weight.
- Satiety Small Dog and Satiety Wet Dog – two new diets, both of which aim address the growing problem of obesity amongst the UK’s cats and dogs.
Royal Canin also used the stand to promote its annual ‘Weigh in Club’ competition.
