Thinking in new ways and finding opportunities for growth in an increasingly competitive veterinary market was the focus of a think tank event put on by Total Vet Solutions (TVS).

TVS Think TankThe think tank, which took place at Leicester’s Marriot Hotel on October 18 and 19, also concentrated on the establishment of shared values within practices, between practices and with other organisations linked to the veterinary sector.

Speaking after the event, TVS managing director Ashley Gray said: “Our business is based on the principle of shared value, so underpinning the day was considerable focus on how practices can create their own shared value, by working more closely with one another, suppliers, insurers and animal advocates in the local community, in order to grow the size of the cake in which everyone has a share.”

One of the delegates, Vetpol director Caroline Johnson, said: “It is encouraging to see so many forward-thinking practices, working together and finding solutions to current challenges. Their active participation speaks volumes for the concept of shared value, at this event, you could actually see it at work.”

It was the second think tank event TVS had hosted, with the inaugural one taking place in March in Birmingham.
