Following successful symposia in 2006, 2008 and 2010, the Veterinary Association for Wildlife Management (VAWM) is to hold its fourth symposium at The Royal Society of Medicine on November 15, 2012.

Following successful symposia in 2006, 2008 and 2010, the Veterinary Association for Wildlife Management (VAWM) has announced that it will hold its fourth symposium in 2012.

The one day event will take place at The Royal Society of Medicine on November 15, 2012.
         
VAWMTopics will include:

  • The “Big society” and conservation
  • “One health” – integrating human, domestic animal & wildlife health
  • Life in the Wild – contrasting the life of wild and domestic animals
  • Disease threats from animal imports and pet travel
  • Bat disease surveillance
  • Cetacean strandings
  • Avian reintroductions and poisoning

 
A number of distinguished speakers have already been secured for what organisers promise will be “another influential and important meeting on wildlife diseases and conservation”.
