Four bursaries for a continuing professional development day on evidence-based veterinary medicine (EBVM) have become available to veterinary students.
The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Knowledge is offering the bursaries for students to attend EBVM Skills Day, which is focused on tools and step by step guidance for evidence-based practice.
The seminar takes place on October 30, 2015 at Church House in London, and successful applicants will be reimbursed all reasonable travel costs.
To be eligible for the bursaries, students must be:
- in the final two years of their veterinary medicine degree, or in an intercalation year after finishing at least three years of the veterinary curriculum
- members of the EBVM Network (the network can be joined online for free via www.rcvsknowledge.org/network).
After attending the skills day, bursary holders will complete either:
- a knowledge summary (a short critical summary of the best available information on a specific clinical question), to be published on the online evidence base
- a review of the new online EBVM learning resource launched on the day.
The deadline for bursary applications is August 28, 2015. To apply visit www.rcvsknowledge.org/grants
More information on EBVM Skills Day can be found at www.rcvsknowledge.org/events
Registration costs £144.50 for EBVM Network members and £170 for non-members.
