Practice managers hoping to update their marketing strategies and utilise social media can learn more at a forthcoming CPD event, to be run by the Veterinary Practice Management Association.

A selection of social media buttons by Quake9 Design.VPMA’s next afternoon regional meeting on September 27 will focus on the best use of social media websites, including Facebook and Twitter, to boost practice footfall and owner bonding.

VPMA events organiser Helen Kington told vetsonline: “Social media is something new and we’ve all dabbled in it but not really done it justice. We’ve moved on from websites – it’s the new form of marketing for practices – and we can learn a lot more about using it well and to our advantage.”

The meeting’s guest speaker will be David Ross of online marketing solutions company Jarrett and Lam Consulting. Mr Ross will take delegates through the process of setting up accounts on Facebook and Twitter and making best use of them as online marketing tools.

The meeting is open to all interested practitioners and practice managers and will take place at Oaksey House in Lambourne from 2-5pm on September 27.

  • Registration costs £12 for VPMA members and £18 for non-members. To book a place contact Ms Kington on 07765 338607.
