Practices are being urged to review their marketing efforts and put themselves forward for this year’s practice marketing honours at the Veterinary Marketing Awards.

The awards, organised by the Veterinary Marketing Association and supported by Merial, are set to take place in London on March 14, 2014.

Categories include Practice Marketing, PR, Direct Mail, Marketing Campaigns and best Point of Sale package.

Calling on practices to shout about their own marketing efforts, event organiser Claire Edmunds said: “I would urge practices to review their marketing activity over the past year – they might be surprised at what they have achieved.
“This is not about quantity or size – what the judges are looking for is initiative and innovation in marketing products or services to clients, whether pet owners or farmers.”

The practice award encompasses display advertising, direct mail or electronic media, e-marketing, mobile and website/digital communications.

Practice Marketing winner in 2013 was Midlands-based group YourVets.

Company marketing manager Will Stirling added: “Entering couldn’t be easier, and for all the entrants the recognition it gives you within the industry is invaluable.”

The deadline for nominations for the PR Award and Marketing Bursaries is January 31, 2014. All other categories close on February 7, 2014.
