The Veterinary Practice Management Association is hosting two regional meetings in April, open to anyone with an interest in veterinary business.

The first will take place in Bromsgrove on April 10 from 1.30pm to 5pm, with topics ranging from engaging new customers to managing your practice website.

“The Customer Journey… how easy do you make it for people to recommend you?” includes insights from market research company Onswitch on how both pet and horse owners choose a practice, and then decide if they want to return.

James Cronin from Eight Legal will look at the conflicts between employment law and the veterinary profession and how practices can overcome them.

Jessica Mullan, senior marketing executive at Petplan, rounds off the speaker panel, looking at how to make your practice website an engaging window for both new and current clients.

Onswitch’s Kirstie Fairbanks leads the presentation reviewing the customer journey, at the London regional meeting, which takes place on Wednesday April 16 at Uxbridge College from 2pm to 4pm.

George Sherratt from Innov8ive Software will follow, advising on the hot topic of smartphone apps and their potential to improve practice effectiveness.

From applications that help drive footfall to those providing assistive technologies, Mr Sherratt will help practices optimise their use of apps.

The rate for members is £12 inclusive of VAT, and £18 for non-members.
