RCVS Knowledge, the charity partner of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, has announced UK insurer More Than as the prime partner for the first International Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine Network Conference.

EBVM conference to be held later this month

The inaugural event, set to take place in Windsor on October 23-24, is the first major international conference to focus fully on advancing evidence-based medicine (EBVM) in the veterinary profession and will serve as a bi-annual meeting for the international EBVM Network.

Nick Royle, the charity’s executive director, said: “We’re delighted to have More Than as our prime partner for the EBVM Network’s first major conference – which marks an important moment in the development of evidence-based veterinary practice.

“About 200 veterinary professionals from around the world will come drive collaboration between practice and research. To have the backing of More Than at this critical early stage will help grow this initiative over the next few years.”

Matt Poll, commercial director at More Than, added: “More Than is very proud to sponsor the first EBVM conference. Our philosophy is to protect the things customers love, as simply and helpfully as possible. We believe EBVM is crucial in ensuring the best future care for pets.

“The EBVM conference is a key event in which to explore and discuss the evidence-based approach further.”
