Staff at the Fairfield Veterinary Centre in Hinckley, Leicestershire, celebrated a very “merry” Christmas with the help of a case of champagne from Vetsonline.

L-R: VBD recuitment sales executive Rachel Thorne and prize-winner Trudy SlaymakerPractice Manager Trudy Slaymaker bagged the box of bubbly by advertising for a new veterinary nurse via our new online booking system, which allows users to create ads for Veterinary Times, VN Times and Vetsonline.

Mrs Slaymaker, who was presented with her prize by recruitment executive Rachel Thorne, admitted to having only a basic knowledge of computers, but said the system was “very user friendly” and claimed she was likely to use it for all staff recruitment in the future.

She said: “We knew there would be a very large readership – we all receive Veterinary Times and VN Times here – so it was our first port of call for advertising.”

Miss Thorne said: “We were very pleased with the response to the competition and the feedback from entrants was that the new booking form was simple to use, quick and covered all of the options. I would like to see more customers using the new system this year, as it allows them to have more input into the design of their advert and also saves time.”
