Online pet owner community PetNet 360 has launched a new crowd sourcing section on its dog owner site – so what character traits make your breed best?
Online pet owner community PetNet 360 has launched a new crowd sourcing section on its dog owner site Park Bench.
In addition, PetNet is celebrating a milestone number of page visits, with one million views since th umbrella site launched last year.
The new “Bark for your Breed” section of Park Bench questions owners about training methods, food costs and exercise and sleeping habits of different breeds of dog, then lets them compare their pet with other breeds.
Since it was first trialled two weeks ago (September 2012) the section has gathered more than 9,000 facts and opinions from nearly 2,500 dog owners.
PetNet managing director Steve Soden said: “We work very hard to keep our community engaged on Facebook and our website.
“We know that variety works and we are delighted to see Bark for your Breed is popular among so many dedicated dog owners.”
As well as hosting community forums, PetNet 360 works with NOAH, the Pet Food Manufacturers Association and the BVA to provide responsible ownership advice to its members.
Along with Park Bench, it also hosts Scratching Post, a dedicated site for cat owners.
