The company will use the money to expand the team and further develop its digital platform, says the company’s founder and chief executive Anthony Chadwick.

Based in Liverpool, The Webinar Vet claims to be the leading provider of online CPD content for veterinary professionals in the UK. The company’s principal focus is delivering online webinars on clinical and practice management topics.

Mr Chadwick said: “We are delighted to have partnered with The North West Fund. The capital, operating skill, and extensive network it brings to our business will help us develop new ways to help the veterinary community satisfy its CPD and other training requirements.

“We operate via a community marketplace business model enabling our members to access content developed and delivered by veterinary specialists from around the globe, at any time, from any device.

“Many members are juggling busy family lives with their veterinary profession. Webinar CPD enables practitioners to keep up to date at any time in their own home or office,” he added.

As part of the funding round former RCVS president Lydia Brown will join the board. Dr Brown recently helped lead the management buy-out of Pharmaq, an aquatic health group acquired for 250 million euros.

The North West Fund is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
