Norbrook has announced a change to the Summary of Product Characteristics (SPC) documents for Loxicom injection for dogs and cats and Loxicom oral suspension for cats.

The changes mean that an injection given around surgery can be followed up 24 hours later with a course of the oral product for cats. This was previously the case for dogs.

Norbrook’s European veterinary advisor Rebekah Dudek said: “We are very pleased to announce these changes, which will make it easier for practices to manage pain following surgery in cats. Now only one injection needs to be stocked for use in dogs and cats around surgery, which can be followed up with a course of oral treatment.”

“Customers also benefit from colour-coded packaging to make dispensing easier, and the clear bottles help pet owners remember when to re-order product.”
