Equimins, one of the UK’s leading equine supplement manufacturers, has recently added to its popular Country Living collection, which is made up of products designed for poultry.

Dy-nomiteThe company’s existing range of Cider Apple Vinegar, Egg Shell Improver, Hen House Freshener, Omega Oil, Pure Seaweed and Vital Vits + has been joined by Dy-nomite, Garlic & Mint, and Wound Spray.

“Keeping hens at home has become more popular in recent times,” says David Willey from Equimins, “and we wanted to provide people embracing this with a range of well priced, effective supplements and products that could really help them and their chickens.

“Our equine, canine and feline range continues to grow, and we have applied the same principles that we use on these products to this: that they do what they say they will and that they are affordable.”

New product Dy-nomite works to kill red mite using natural, non-toxic ingredients based on diatomaceous earth. The product is supplied in a bottle, which features a directional nozzle to make it easy to get the product into all the cracks and crevices where red mite could live in a hen house. The product should be used as part of routine cleaning and can also be applied to birds that are suffering from lice. Dy-nomite is available in 500g bottles, which have a RRP of £6.95 each.

Garlic & Mint supplement is another new addition to the range. The product contains garlic granules and mint, and works to ensure a good appetite, healthy gut and can also aid respiratory health. It’s available in 500g tubs that have a RRP of £5.95.

Last but not least, Country Living Wound Spray is an effective disinfectant wound spray that contains aloe vera. It can be used to treat minor wounds, but can also be used to help deter feather pecking by other birds. It’s available in 250ml bottles, with a RRP of £5.95.
