Genitrix has announced an additional pack size for its recently launched benazapril hydrochloride product, Prilben, to make it more affordable for clients and more profitable for practices.

Prilben pack shotLaunched earlier this year, Prilben (which is indicated for the treatment of congestive heart failure in dogs and for chronic renal insufficiency in cats) is now offered in packs of 140 x 5mg tablets at a veterinary list price of £40.50 (equivalent to 29p per tablet). This makes Prilben more easily affordable for owners with pets requiring long term treatment or requiring a higher rate of medication.

Prilben is also still available in smaller packs of 14 x 5mg tablets at a veterinary list price of £4.50, equating to 32p per tablet.

Genitrix marketing director Rob Watkins said: “Since its launch in July 2010, Prilben has proved popular because it’s a tried and trusted medicine with a pricing structure which makes it a revenue generator for practices while still offering good value to clients. We believe that offering a larger pack will provide practices with added flexibility and offer even better value to clients.”
